Scoble is very excited about Adobe's new Acrobat live service.
I think I like it better than Google Docs, but that's not why I'm excited.
See, hosted apps have been the "next big thing" for years now. On the other hand, I've found them cumbersome and sort of annoying to manage permissions, share, etc.
Until now.
I've been playing around with 5 PM, a neat little project management tool. I've been using it for just over 48 hours and it's replaced the white board I keep next to my desk. It's better than the whiteboard. Why? Well, in my line of work, I'm often working independently but higher-ups want to know what's going on.
I can keep them in the loop without a single message or action other than to check things off myself. As I keep track, others can. Entirely web based, no infrastructure required on the client side.
It may not work for the word processor, but I finally found a real web app that I'd pay for.
